In short
Explorer is first-wave WMR at 1440×1440 / 90 Hz / Fresnel. Keep Lenovo 110° vs Microsoft 105°, and 380 g vs unpacked 0.55 kg. No invented USD. Not Mirage Solo.
Who it is for
- Owners documenting G0A2 from Lenovo Support / datasheet plus Microsoft’s WMR chart.
Who should skip it
- Windows 11 24H2+ PCs. Microsoft: WMR unsupported.
- Standalone / Daydream shoppers. That is Mirage Solo, not this H1.
- People who need one official gram number or one FOV degree.
- Buyers who need a published 2017 USD — Lenovo’s IFA release deferred price to a country page.
Key differentiators
- 2.89-inch LCD; 1440×1440 per eye; 90 Hz; Fresnel (Lenovo Support).
- Inside-out 6DoF; two cameras; no external sensors (Lenovo).
- Software IPD; headset Bluetooth none (Microsoft). Pair controllers to the PC radio.
Caveats
- FOV conflict: Lenovo datasheet 110° vs Microsoft 105°. Flag both; do not average.
- Mass conflict: Support/datasheet marketing 380 g (0.84 lb) vs Support unpacked weight 0.55 kg. Packed 0.84 kg is a different cell — do not treat 0.84 kg as 0.84 lb.
- US Support pd500067 fetch was a thin shell this pass; the MZ locale still printed the G0A2 table. Date both.
- No hands-on testing.

Frequently asked questions
Is this Mirage Solo?
No. Explorer is tethered Windows Mixed Reality (G0A2). Mirage Solo is a different Daydream standalone slug.
What is the FOV?
Lenovo’s datasheet prints 110°. Microsoft’s WMR table prints 105° for Explorer. We keep both.
What does it weigh?
Lenovo prints 380 g (0.84 lb) and, on the same Support overview, unpacked 0.55 kg. We do not pick a winner.
What did it cost?
Not on the IFA 2017 newsroom or the spec pages this pass. We do not invent a USD.
