These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the rules for using GadgetShowdown(https://gadgetshowdown.com), published by Stealth Launch, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Who we are
Stealth Launch, LLC is a Puerto Rico limited liability company.GadgetShowdown publishes editorial gadget comparisons. Articles appear under the byline Megg Gawat. We are a small publisher, not a product manufacturer, retailer, or authorized seller.
Entity location: San Juan, Puerto Rico. We do not publish a street mailing address on this site. For questions, use Contact.
What this site is — and is not
Comparisons are desk research: we read and cross-check manufacturer specifications, official feature pages, and other public information. Unless a page explicitly says we had devices in hand, we did not lab-test them. Details:Methodology.
The site is for general information. It is not:
- Professional, financial, legal, or technical advice tailored to you
- A warranty, guarantee, or promise about any product, price, or merchant
- An offer to sell products (we are not the store)
You are responsible for confirming specs, compatibility, pricing, and return policies with the manufacturer or seller before you buy.
Eligibility
The site is intended for people 13 or older. If you are under 18, use the site only with a parent or guardian’s permission. We do not target children.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Break the law or encourage others to do so
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy the site in a way that harms our servers or violates these Terms
- Bypass security, rate limits, or access controls
- Impersonate us, Megg Gawat, or Stealth Launch, LLC
- Use our content to mislead people about how we research or rank products
- Send malware, spam, or abusive traffic
We may block access that looks like abuse. We do not currently offer user accounts or public comments.
Intellectual property
Site design, original writing, and selection/arrangement of comparisons are owned byStealth Launch, LLC or used under license. You may link to our pages and quote short excerpts with credit and a link back. You may not copy comparison pages wholesale, republish our verdicts as your own, or use our name or logo to imply we endorse you.
Product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their owners (for example Apple, Samsung, Google, Sony, Garmin, Amazon). We use them to identify products we write about. That does not mean those companies sponsor or approve us.
Affiliate links and ads
The site may include affiliate links and, later, display ads. If you click an affiliate link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not decide verdicts. Read Affiliate Disclosure,Privacy Policy, and Cookie Notice.
Third-party merchants, ad networks, and affiliate programs have their own terms. Your purchase contract is with the seller, not with us.
Third-party links and embeds
We link to manufacturer pages, retailers, and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, availability, or how they handle your information after you leave GadgetShowdown.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” Specs, software versions, prices, and availability change. We date material checks when we can (“last verified”), but we do not promise pages are complete, current, or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Stealth Launch, LLC and the people who work on this site are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or reliance on a comparison — even if we were told those damages were possible.
If a court says we owe you damages despite the paragraph above, our total liability for a claim related to the site is limited to the greater of (a) US $50 or (b) the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim. You do not pay us to read the site today.
Some places do not allow certain limits. If those rules apply to you, some of this section may not apply.
Indemnity
If your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your republication of our content causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we incur (including attorney fees) to the extent the law allows.
Messages you send us
If you email a correction, tip, or other message, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use that information to operate and improve the site (for example, to fix a spec). Do not send confidential information you need us to keep secret. SeePrivacy Policy.
Changes and availability
We may change pages, add or remove comparisons, or update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. We may pause or stop the site without notice.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Puerto Rico have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere to protect our intellectual property or the site.
If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These Terms and the linked policies listed below are the entire agreement between you and us about the site.
