Valve’s OLED sheet prints a 6nm AMD APU (Zen 2 4c/8t + 8 RDNA 2 CUs, 4–15W), 16GB LPDDR5-6400, a 7.4-inch 1280×800 HDR OLED up to 90Hz (1,000-nit HDR peak / 600-nit SDR), 50Wh, and 3–12 hours. US list prices on the hubs remain $449.99 (Switch 2) and $549 / $649 (OLED 512GB / 1TB launch).

The verdict
Nintendo Switch 2 or Steam Deck OLED — quote the two manufacturer sheets.

What the Nintendo Switch 2 hub emphasizes
- 7.9-inch 1920×1080 LCD, HDR10, VRR up to 120Hz — Nintendo’s current handheld panel row.
- 256GB UFS (Nintendo: 8× original Switch storage) plus microSD Express up to 2TB.
- Joy-Con 2: magnetic attach, mouse sensor each side, HD Rumble 2, C Button, NFC on the right.
- Dock path: up to 3840×2160 at 60fps; 120fps at 1080p/1440p; HDR10; VRR up to 120Hz.
What the Steam Deck OLED hub emphasizes
- Only current Steam Deck with HDR OLED, 1,000-nit HDR peak / 600-nit SDR, 110% P3, and up to 90Hz on Valve’s spec sheet.
- SteamOS 3 (Arch-based) plus KDE Plasma desktop — Valve’s console-like Steam UI, not Windows 11.
- Dual 32.5mm haptic trackpads with pressure-sensitive click. Ally and Switch do not ship this.
- 50Wh pack and Valve’s 3–12 hour gameplay claim; OLED page also says 30–50% more battery life than LCD Deck.
Nintendo Switch 2 caveats
- Battery claim is shorter than OLED Switch’s 4.5–9 hour table: Nintendo publishes 2–6.5 hours for Switch 2. Do not invent a longer range.
- Custom NVIDIA processor — no clocks, no RAM. Keep those keys visible as Not published.
- $449.99 / $499.99 are Nintendo’s US launch MSRPs (maintained through the April 2025 preorder note). Re-check nintendo.com.
Steam Deck OLED caveats
- Every brightness, battery-hour, and “up to 3× faster downloads” line is a Valve claim. GadgetShowdown has not lab-tested OLED Deck.
- Valve’s current US storefront price can differ from the November 2023 $549 / $649 launch pair. Re-check store.steampowered.com on write day.
- 64GB and 512GB LCD leftovers are a different hub. Do not paste OLED nits or Wi-Fi 6E onto LCD.
