Quick Answer

This is an OEM desk comparison of Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam Deck LCD, not a winner page. Nintendo Switch 2 official SoC: Custom processor made by NVIDIA. Steam Deck LCD official SoC: 7nm AMD APU; Zen 2 4 cores / 8 threads, 2.4–3.5GHz (up to 4…. Quoted prices stay on each hub. Unpublished cells stay Not published.

Official sheets, re-checked

Switch 2 is the current Nintendo 7.9-inch 1080p HDR10/VRR handheld. LCD Deck is Valve’s leftover 7-inch 60Hz 800p IPS SteamOS machine (40Wh, Wi-Fi 5). Compare OLED Deck if you want Valve’s current sheet.

Re-checked 2026-09-19 against Nintendo Switch 2 specs and steamdeck.com/en/tech/deck.

Quote the two official sheets. Do not invent a lab winner.

The verdict

Nintendo Switch 2 or Steam Deck LCD — quote the two manufacturer sheets.

Why: Both columns are manufacturer desk research. A winner would be an editorial invention.

What the Nintendo Switch 2 hub emphasizes

  • 7.9-inch 1920×1080 LCD, HDR10, VRR up to 120Hz — Nintendo’s current handheld panel row.
  • 256GB UFS (Nintendo: 8× original Switch storage) plus microSD Express up to 2TB.
  • Joy-Con 2: magnetic attach, mouse sensor each side, HD Rumble 2, C Button, NFC on the right.
  • Dock path: up to 3840×2160 at 60fps; 120fps at 1080p/1440p; HDR10; VRR up to 120Hz.

What the Steam Deck LCD hub emphasizes

  • Original Steam Deck control language: dual 32.5mm haptic trackpads, four grip buttons, capacitive sticks, SteamOS 3.
  • Valve still publishes a dedicated LCD spec sheet (7nm, 7-inch IPS, 40Wh, 2–8 hours, ~669g).
  • 64GB eMMC class SKU existed; OLED never offered 64GB on the current sheet.
  • Leftover pricing is the commercial story, not a faster GPU than OLED.

Nintendo Switch 2 caveats

  • Battery claim is shorter than OLED Switch’s 4.5–9 hour table: Nintendo publishes 2–6.5 hours for Switch 2. Do not invent a longer range.
  • Custom NVIDIA processor — no clocks, no RAM. Keep those keys visible as Not published.
  • $449.99 / $499.99 are Nintendo’s US launch MSRPs (maintained through the April 2025 preorder note). Re-check nintendo.com.

Steam Deck LCD caveats

  • 64GB and 512GB LCD are “available while supplies last” on Valve’s LCD sheet. Do not write them as a forever store SKU.
  • Launch US prices ($399/$529/$649) were cut when OLED launched. Re-check the live store; leftover street prices go stale.
  • Do not paste OLED 1,000-nit / 90Hz / Wi-Fi 6E rows onto this page.
