- PC-library buyers. Switch 2 is Nintendo eShop / Switch 2 + Switch game cards, not SteamOS.
- Anyone who needs published RAM, CU counts, or a Z1-style TDP table. Nintendo still does not print those.
- People who only wanted a cheaper 7-inch OLED last-gen Nintendo. That is the Switch OLED hub.
- Shoppers who refuse microSD Express. Nintendo: non-Express microSD is limited to copying screenshots/video from Switch.

- 256GB UFS (Nintendo: 8× original Switch storage) plus microSD Express up to 2TB.

- Dock path: up to 3840×2160 at 60fps; 120fps at 1080p/1440p; HDR10; VRR up to 120Hz.
Caveats
- Battery claim is shorter than OLED Switch’s 4.5–9 hour table: Nintendo publishes 2–6.5 hours for Switch 2. Do not invent a longer range.
- Custom NVIDIA processor — no clocks, no RAM. Keep those keys visible as Not published.
- $449.99 / $499.99 are Nintendo’s US launch MSRPs (maintained through the April 2025 preorder note). Re-check nintendo.com.
- GadgetShowdown has not lab-tested Switch 2. 4K output is a dock transport/mode claim, not a promise every game renders 4K.

Does Switch 2 have more battery life than OLED Switch?
Not on Nintendo’s published tables. OLED Switch is 4.5–9 hours; Switch 2 is 2–6.5 hours. Different games, different sheets — do not invent a winner from those ranges alone.
How much RAM does it have?
Nintendo does not publish RAM. Keep the handhelds-v1 key as Not published.
Can it play Switch game cards?
Nintendo’s spec sheet says the game-card slot accepts both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch game cards. Software compatibility details belong on Nintendo’s live compatibility pages — do not invent a 100% list here.
Does it run Steam?

What is microSD Express?
Nintendo: extra storage must be microSD Express (up to 2TB). Ordinary microSD is limited to copying screenshots and videos from Nintendo Switch.
