In short

Surface Pro 10 for Business is Microsoft’s March 2024 Intel Core Ultra 13-inch kickstand slate: PixelSense Flow 120 Hz, 8–64GB, Slim Pen 2 sold separately, optional 5G. Buy leftover if you want the Intel business Pro before Snapdragon 11th Edition. Skip it if you want current Copilot+ Surface Pro (11th Edition).

Who it is for

  • Leftover / commercial shoppers who want a 13-inch Windows 11 Pro kickstand tablet with Intel Core Ultra 5/7 and optional 5G, before the Snapdragon 11th Edition Copilot+ SKU.
  • Pen users who will buy Surface Slim Pen for Business (2nd Edition). Microsoft: storage/charging lives in compatible keyboards, not in the tablet slab.
  • IT buyers who need a Secured-core PC, TPM 2.0, Windows Hello face, and NFC on Wi-Fi configurations.

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who wants the current Surface Pro. That is Surface Pro (11th Edition) at /tablets/microsoft-surface-pro-11th-edition/.
  • Buyers who want iPadOS, an in-box stylus, or a sub-500 g carry. Microsoft Store lists 885 g without keyboard.
  • People who need a published IP code. The Store/spec-sheet pages we pulled do not print an IP rating.

Key differentiators

  • 13-inch PixelSense Flow, 3:2, 2880 × 1920, 267 ppi, dynamic refresh up to 120 Hz; SDR 600 nits typical; Gorilla Glass 5; anti-reflective ISO 9241-307.
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 135U or Ultra 7 165U; Intel AI Boost NPU; 8/16/32/64GB LPDDR5x; removable Gen 4 SSD 256GB–1TB.
  • Two USB-C ports with USB4 / Thunderbolt 4; Surface Connect; Surface Pro Keyboard port; optional nano-SIM on 5G SKUs.
  • Windows 11 Pro Secured-core PC — not iPadOS or Android. First Surface Pro Microsoft called an AI PC built exclusively for business.

Caveats

  • Battery hours (19 Wi-Fi / 16 5G typical device usage) are Microsoft test claims at 150 nits. A Wh figure is not on the Store/spec-sheet cells we pulled.
  • A US launch dollar start is not in the Devices Blog paragraphs we pulled. Do not paste a reviewer’s $1,199 as OEM MSRP.
  • Keyboard and Slim Pen are sold separately. Fast charge “empty to up to 80% in about an hour” is a Microsoft Store claim needing the specified charger.
  • Microsoft product photography is not hosted here.

Overview

Surface Pro 10 for Business is Microsoft’s March 2024 Intel Core Ultra 13-inch kickstand slate — the last Intel Pro before Snapdragon 11th Edition Copilot+ PCs. The job-to-be-done is “Windows 11 Pro + optional 5G + dual Thunderbolt 4,” not “light iPad.”

We have not used this tablet. 19-hour / 16-hour and “up to 53% faster than Pro 9” lines stay Microsoft claims.

Display, chip, speakers

PixelSense Flow LCD, 2880 × 1920, 267 ppi, up to 120 Hz, 600 nits typical. Intel Core Ultra 5 135U or Ultra 7 165U with Intel AI Boost NPU. RAM 8–64GB. Speakers are 2W stereo with Dolby Atmos; mics are dual Studio.

Stylus, keyboard, ports

stylus is Slim Pen 2, sold separately. keyboard is a sold-separately Type Cover / Flex Keyboard with a dedicated port. ports are two Thunderbolt 4 + Surface Connect. Those three extras are why this leftover Intel Pro belongs on tablets-v1 instead of being ignored.
