Overview
Gen3 is the discontinued Horizon / Heritage Oura: daytime HR, extra NTC, membership software, up to 7 days (FAQs), 7-day memory (Product Safety), firmware 3.4.3 (20 April 2026). Official: ring and charger no longer for sale.
Sensors, sleep, and activity
Green + red + IR, extra NTC, extra IR alignment sensor, accelerometers. Membership list matches later rings (sleep, 24/7 HR, SpO2, Stress, Heart Health, Women’s Health).
Battery and charging
Up to seven days. Charge window on the current FAQ is 20–80 minutes. Align Gen3 sensor bumps opposite the charger light. Official Gen3 charger is discontinued.
App, subscription, and platforms
Oura App, iOS 16+ / Android 11+. Membership required for full app. Latest listed firmware 3.4.3 (20 April 2026).
Price
Not sold on the 2026-09-19 store. Do not invent a used-market number.

Frequently asked questions
Can I still buy Gen3 from Oura?
No. Oura’s Previous Generations page says the Gen3 ring and charger are no longer available for purchase. The live store we opened listed Ring 5, Ring 4, and Ring 4 Ceramic only.
Does Gen3 need membership?
Yes. Oura Membership “only applies to Gen3 and newer.” Without membership you only see the three daily scores plus battery, profile, settings, and Explore. Some older Gen3 accounts still have a Lifetime Membership promo — that is not a store SKU.
What are Horizon and Heritage?
Two Gen3 bodies. Horizon wears with the dimple toward the palm. Heritage wears with the flat side on top. Sensors and software list are the same on Previous Generations.
Why are width and weight blank?
Because Oura did not publish official mm / gram figures on the Previous Generations page we opened. Inventing Ring 4’s 7.9 mm cells would be wrong.
