In short

13 Pro is the 2021 compact Pro: stainless steel, A15 Bionic (5-core GPU), 6.1-inch ProMotion, 1000/1200-nit sheet (no 2000-nit outdoor peak), 12MP triple with 3x optical, Lightning, Ring/Silent switch, MagSafe 15W (no Qi2), notch (no Dynamic Island / Always-On), iOS 15 on Support. Keep it as the deep-legacy hub before 14 Pro’s 48MP / Always-On / Dynamic Island / Crash Detection / satellite fork. Do not invent a US MSRP (Newsroom 404’d), and do not paste later Pro 2000-nit / 48MP / USB-C cells onto this SKU.

Who it is for

  • Owners still on 13 Pro who want one honest OEM record before a future 13 Pro vs 18 Pro page.
  • People dating the 2021 forks: first compact Pro with ProMotion 120Hz and Cinematic mode / ProRes on phone — still a notch chassis with a 12MP main.
  • Researchers who need a pre-Dynamic-Island / pre-Always-On / pre-48MP Pro sheet.

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who wants the current Pro. That is iPhone 18 Pro. Anyone who wants Dynamic Island + 48MP + Always-On: that is 14 Pro. This hub is the 2021 SKU.
  • Buyers who need USB-C, Action Button, Camera Control, 5x tetraprism, Wi-Fi 7, Qi2, or a 2000-nit outdoor peak.
  • People who refuse Lightning. Support: Lightning connector; in-box cable is USB-C to Lightning.

Key differentiators

  • First compact Pro with ProMotion (adaptive 120Hz) and Cinematic mode / ProRes on the video table — still a notch, 12MP main, no Always-On / Dynamic Island.
  • A15 Bionic: 6-core CPU, **5-core GPU**, 16-core Neural Engine. 14 Pro’s A16 is also 5-core GPU; 15 Pro’s A17 Pro is 6-core GPU.
  • Display sheet is 1000 nits typical / 1200 nits HDR. No 2000-nit outdoor-peak cell — that arrives on 14 Pro.
  • Last compact Pro before Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite (neither name appears on Support 111871).

Caveats

  • Deep legacy. Re-pull Support 111871 and Apple’s current iOS compatibility list. Do not invent an end-of-support year.
  • Support covers 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. Lock 6.1-inch / 204 g / 22-hour video here.
  • Alpine Green was a later 13 Pro finish still listed on the live sheet. Do not treat it as a launch-day-only color story without a live Newsroom cite.
  • Apple Newsroom 2021 permalinks we tried 404’d. Launch day and US MSRP stay unpublished.

Overview

iPhone 13 Pro is the 2021 compact Pro — the last notch / 12MP-main Pro before 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island and 48MP. Apple Support still hosts the hardware table: 146.7 × 71.5 × 7.65 mm, 204 g, stainless steel, A15 Bionic, ProMotion 120Hz.

This hub exists so later phone writers can hang a pre-48MP spoke off 14/15/18 Pro. The first spec table is phones-v1.

We do not claim we still have one on a desk. Where Newsroom 404’d, we left launch day and US MSRP unpublished.

Price, SKUs, and what not to invent

US launch MSRP unpublished (Newsroom 404). Models A2483 / A2484. Not current sell-in as of 19 September 2026.

Do not invent Geekbench, 48MP, or $999. A 13 Pro vs 14 Pro vs-page is not live.
