Caveats
- Discontinued hardware. Do not write a US add-to-cart.

- Upgrading to a newer ring means signing up for membership (Oura).
- Oura Ring is not a medical device (General FAQs / Product Safety).
- Do not invent Gen1 zirconia specs on this titanium page. Gen1 is a different discontinued SKU without current firmware support.

Typical-days not published on the current FAQ table. Original USB charger with white LED is discontinued.

Frequently asked questions
Does Gen2 need Oura Membership?
No. Oura: Gen2 users do not require membership and will not be charged membership fees. Newer features that need Gen3+ hardware will not appear. Upgrading to a newer ring requires signing up for membership.
Does Gen2 track daytime heart rate?
Not on the official hardware list. Gen2 IR LEDs are for nighttime heart rate and respiratory rate. Daytime / activity HR is a Gen3 addition.
Can I still buy Gen2 from Oura?
No. Oura says the Gen2 ring and charger are no longer available for purchase. The live store we opened listed Ring 5, Ring 4, and Ring 4 Ceramic only.
Is firmware still updating?
The firmware article last lists Gen2 4.0.8 on 18 October 2022. Membership support still says routine software/firmware updates “for the foreseeable future.” We do not invent a 2026 Gen2 build that is not on that list.
