Ray-Ban Stories is the 2021 camera / audio pair. It is not Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 and not Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2. The upgrade hop is Facebook View → Meta AI, dual 5 MP → 12 MP (Gen 1) → 3K (Gen 2).

What the newsroom does not publish
Weight, glasses-hour battery, case charges, IP rating, chip SKU. Keep those keys as not published. Do not copy Gen 1 IPX4 or AR1 onto Stories.

Are these the same as Ray-Ban Meta?
No. Stories is the 2021 Facebook View / Facebook Assistant pair. Meta Gen 1 (2023) added 12 MP, AR1, IPX4, and Meta AI. Gen 2 (2025) added 3K and the 8-hour typical-use claim.
How long can Stories record?
Launch: 30 seconds. The 17 March 2022 newsroom update said a Facebook View setting would raise the max to 60 seconds in April 2022. Quote both dates.
Is $299 a street price?
No. $299 is Facebook’s published US start on 9 September 2021. The 2022 EU note started at €329. Leftover street prices go stale.
